Verified Linear Strength

Linear strength is fundamental to strapping performance and we take safety very seriously, so our advertised linear strengths are based on minimums, not nominal or average or plus or minus 10%. And, in accordance with ASTM E 4 and E74 requirements, our tensile testing machine is calibrated to a tolerance of less than 1%. You can’t optimize what you don’t have, so we start with verified linear strengths.

High Joint Strength

Our System Strengths (aka loop strength of strap with buckle) are notably higher than our Linear Strengths.  This is an indicator that our strapping and buckles are working efficiently together and not causing premature slipping, cutting, or shearing.  Straps slip and shear when buckles bend, but Redback’s buckle geometry results in a stronger, safer, more secure buckle, so straps can be tensioned tighter for superior performance.

High Joint Strength

Our System Strengths (aka loop strength of strap with buckle) are notably higher than our Linear Strengths.  This is an indicator that our strapping and buckles are working efficiently together and not causing premature slipping, cutting, or shearing.  Straps slip and shear when buckles bend, but Redback’s buckle geometry results in a stronger, safer, more secure buckle, so straps can be tensioned tighter for superior performance.

Low Elongation

Too much elongation causes sway and can prevent buckles from staying closed and loads from staying tight.  And, when straps stretch too much, their ability to resist impacts is reduced.  So, high elongation strapping can be very dangerous where a high impact resistant, low elongation strapping like Redback is required.

All Weather Performance

Our straps perform equally well in ALL WEATHER conditions.  They are not dependent on temperature, so there is no need to stock a winter or summer grade product.  All of our products have been tested for UV resistance and one product fits all temperatures.

No Flaking or Delamination

Redback Strapping will not flake off or delaminate, so strapping residue will not accumulate under the gripper foot of the tool.  This is an incredibly important safety issue because a gunked up gripper foot can cause a tool to slip and prevent the adequate tension that is required to keep a buckle closed.  The combination of weak coatings and insufficient tension is a leading cause of load failure.
